Before the first review

Tell reviewers what they are being asked to decide.

Questions to bring to the review
  1. What is the purpose of this issue, and which portions are ready for meaningful review?
  2. Which calculations, sizing, or drawing areas are still in development?
  3. What direct questions need the reviewer’s input rather than another drafting iteration?

Bring to the conversation

Accompany the issue with a concise statement of purpose, known incomplete work, and the inputs requested.

Keep the limit clearA package can be useful for a targeted review without being ready for submittal.

As information develops

Keep the reason for each revision attached to the action.

Questions to bring to the review
  1. Is a comment supplying missing information, clarifying project intent, identifying a design omission, or improving presentation?
  2. Which answers are project-specific, and which role supplied or confirmed them?
  3. Which changes affect another discipline, drawing, calculation, or downstream decision?

Bring to the conversation

Maintain a concise decision trail: question, response role, affected work, and remaining action. Separate technical corrections from readability improvements while coordinating both.

Keep the limit clearA reviewer’s direction for one project should not be presented as a universal standard for unrelated work.

Before the next issue

Verify closure against the revised work.

Questions to bring to the review
  1. Does the revised package reflect the answered inputs and intended coordination direction?
  2. Have the declared incomplete items been finished, or are their remaining limits still stated?
  3. Can the next reviewer compare the issue with the prior comments and identify what remains unresolved?

Bring to the conversation

Compare the revised issue with the marked review set before reporting comments closed. State what the new issue is ready for.

Keep the limit clearReceiving answers and preparing a revision list are different from incorporating every comment or obtaining approval.

NEXT CONVERSATION

Make the open question specific.
